SCNT TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service apply when you visit www.scnt.uk or purchase products from SCNT. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. ABOUT SCNT
SCNT is a UK fragrance business offering designer and niche-inspired extrait fragrances, Discovery Samples, Discovery Sets and Custom Blends.

2. OUR FRAGRANCES
SCNT fragrances are independent products inspired by well-known designer and niche scent profiles.
SCNT is not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by or manufactured by any original fragrance brand or trademark owner. Brand names may be used only to describe scent inspiration and help customers understand the fragrance profile.
All SCNT products are sold under the SCNT name and branding.
3. PRODUCT INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, photographs and availability are accurate.
Because our fragrances are hand-bottled in small batches, minor variations in presentation, liquid colour, label placement or packaging may occur. These variations do not normally affect the product’s intended use.
Fragrance is subjective. Scent perception, projection and longevity can vary according to skin, environment, application and personal sensitivity. An individual preference or difference in perceived performance does not necessarily mean that a product is faulty.
Product images are for illustration. Colours may appear differently depending on your screen.
4. FRAGRANCE SAFETY
SCNT fragrances are for external use only.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, broken skin and sensitive areas. Keep products away from children, pets, heat, flames and other ignition sources. Do not intentionally ingest any fragrance product.
Stop using the product if irritation occurs. Customers with known sensitivities should test a small amount before wider use and review any available ingredient information before purchasing.
5. ORDERS
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.
Receiving an order confirmation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. An order is accepted when it has been prepared for dispatch or dispatched.
We may cancel an order before dispatch if:
• A product is unavailable
• Payment cannot be authorised
• The price or product information contains an obvious error
• We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
• We are unable to deliver to the address provided
• The order would breach these terms or applicable law
If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the affected amount.
6. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Any applicable taxes will be included or displayed as required.
Delivery charges are shown before the order is completed.
Payment must be made using one of the methods offered at checkout. Payment services may be provided by third parties such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna or other payment providers. Their separate terms may also apply.
We may correct an obvious pricing error. If an order has been placed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch or cancel and refund the order.
7. DISCOUNTS AND PROMOTIONS
Discount codes and promotions:
• Must be used within the stated promotional period
• Cannot normally be exchanged for cash
• Cannot be applied retrospectively
• Cannot be combined unless we expressly allow it
• May be limited to selected products or customers
We may withdraw or amend a promotion where necessary, but this will not affect orders already accepted unless there has been an obvious error or misuse.
8. DELIVERY
Available delivery options, charges and estimated times are displayed on the website or during checkout.
Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed date. Delays may occasionally occur because of couriers, adverse weather, high demand or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is returned because the address was incorrect, incomplete or delivery was repeatedly unsuccessful, additional postage may be required before it is sent again.
Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you, a person identified by you or a safe place you have authorised.
9. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Your rights to cancel an online order and return products are explained in our Returns and Refund Policy.
Generally, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving an eligible product and then return it within a further 14 days.
Personalised or made-to-order Custom Blends cannot normally be returned for a change of mind because they are prepared to the customer’s specifications.
Products that have been opened, sprayed, used or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them may have a reduced value. Where permitted by law, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10. DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
If a product arrives damaged, faulty, not as described or different from what you ordered, contact info@scnt.uk with your order number and relevant photographs.
We may ask for the product to be returned or for additional information so that we can investigate.
Where a product is confirmed to be damaged, faulty or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate refund, replacement or other remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
11. CUSTOM BLENDS
Custom Blends may be produced according to preferences or specifications provided by the customer.
Customers are responsible for checking the information submitted before ordering. Once preparation has begun, personalised orders cannot normally be changed or cancelled unless we agree otherwise.
Differences in individual scent perception or preference do not by themselves mean that a Custom Blend is faulty.
12. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We are not responsible for temporary disruption caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The SCNT name, branding, website design, original photography, product copy, graphics and other original website content belong to SCNT or are used with permission.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit this content without prior written permission.
Third-party brand names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
14. PROHIBITED USE
You must not:
• Use the website unlawfully or fraudulently
• Attempt to interfere with the website’s security or operation
• Introduce viruses or other malicious material
• Use automated systems to extract substantial website content
• Misrepresent SCNT products as genuine products manufactured by an inspiration brand
• Use SCNT branding or content without permission
15. LIABILITY
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of your statutory consumer rights.
SCNT is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by information or actions outside our control, or business losses arising from products purchased for personal use.
16. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment information is processed securely by the relevant payment provider and is not ordinarily stored directly by SCNT.
17. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We are not responsible for delays or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. These may include courier disruption, severe weather, transport interruption, supplier failure, internet outages or government action.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and complete or refund affected orders where appropriate.
18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the business, website, products or applicable law.
The terms applying to an order will normally be those published when the order was placed.
19. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
